How you will be supported

If you’re successful with your application, you will be provided with full training, helping you to develop the required knowledge and understanding.

Trustee training will meet the following objectives:

To be aligned with the overall Trustee key aims and primary objectives
To be timely and relevant to the needs of the Plan
To ensure training is ongoing
To address any gaps in knowledge

There’s also a wealth of information made available by other organisations, including The Pensions Regulator (TPR) which is the regulatory body overseeing the pensions industry. TPR have produced an online Trustee Toolkit which covers all aspects of pension scheme management. It is presented in a modular format, includes case studies and online assessments. All Trustee Directors are required to complete the Toolkit withing six months of joining the Board.
